Covington, GA and Toronto, Canada. July 8, 2004
The City of Covington, Georgia has selected Advanced Utility Systems to deliver CIS Infinity®, a new customer information and billing solution for the City's electric, natural gas, water, sewer, sanitation and stormwater services.
Jim Adams, MIS Manager for the City, explains the decision: "It's true that Advanced meets all our present requirements - flexibility, more efficient customer service, and so on."
"But it's the secure long-term picture that puts Advanced at the front of the pack. Their product and their people will be able to handle the complexity of a multi-service utility like ours. Best of all, software upgrades are free, with the only cost being the setup of any optional features we're interested in -- so as the City grows, our software grows along with it."
Implementing a utility-focused solution benefits the City in the long term, according to Patricia Sorbara, President and CEO of Advanced: "Organizations often take a chance on a vendor that offers utility billing as a second or third line of business, or a vendor that doesn't have a long-term plan for utility billing. Throughout our relationship with the City, our staff and our software will be one-hundred-percent focused on better service and better billing for utility customers."
Advanced is also pleased to count the City of Covington as its newest client in the southern states, adding to their expanding presence in Florida and Texas.
