Oceanside, CA and Toronto, ON. July 7, 2016
Advanced Utility Systems, a division of N. Harris Computer Corporation (Advanced), is pleased to announce that the City of Oceanside, California (the City) has selected Advanced’s premier, award-winning customer information and utility billing system, CIS Infinity.
The City provides water, wastewater and solid waste service to approximately 172,000 inhabitants and is the third-largest city in San Diego County, California.
The City represents the 24th customer in the state of California for Advanced. With a substantial presence in California, Advanced has gained extensive knowledge and experience of utility business practices and processes in the state.
“Specifically, robust and flexible, built-in rate functionality within CIS Infinity will fully support the City’s Water Efficiency (Water Budget Billing) and Water Reuse programs. Through configuration the City will be able to rapidly change program criteria and employ a complex tiered rate structure utilizing monthly water allocations based on historical usage. CIS Infinity also provides a seamless API integration to the City’s local bill printing and mailing vendor. A customer service representative can click on a statement in CIS Infinity and a separate window showing the exact copy of the bill that the vendor sent out will appear.
Sheri Brown, Financial Services Division Manager for the City notes, “Advanced stood out for us in our selection process with their large California customer base. They have an exceptional understanding of our specific business process requirements and operational needs and their solutions have the flexibility to accommodate our current and future regulatory requirements.”
“We are also looking forward to learning from and sharing ideas with the other members of the CIS Infinity California user group.”
Peter Fanous, Executive Vice President for Advanced comments: “In addition to our solutions being seamlessly integrated with each other as well as being comprehensively interoperable, our highly configurable utility solutions work within each of our customer’s unique legislative and business environments to deliver solutions to address their needs. Advanced works closely with its customers across North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean to ensure we are successful at meeting the regulatory and customer service requirements for our entire customer base.”
The City will also be implementing the Advanced add-on solutions Infinity.Link (Customer Self-Service Web Portal), Infinity.Mobile (Paperless Service Orders) and Infinity.BI (Business Intelligence) to augment the power of CIS Infinity.
