New Port Richey, FL and Toronto, ON. October 2, 2012
Pasco County Utilities has selected Advanced Utility Systems (Advanced), to implement its customer information system (CIS) and billing application, CIS Infinity.
Located on the Gulf of Mexico in the Tampa Bay area, Pasco is part of a nine-county region referred to as the "Nature Coast." Pasco County Utilities provides Water and Sewer Services, Reclaimed Water, Solid Waste/Resource Recovery, Recycling, Hazardous Waste, Environmental Lab and Residential Street Lighting service to most of the 470,000 residents residing within the land area of 744.85 miles of Pasco County. Pasco County Utilities operates under the Board of County Commissioners, the legislative and policy-making body of the County government.
In 2011, the County issued its request for proposal in search of a new CIS and utility billing application, to replace its existing custom legacy mainframe system that had been in place since 1986. The County sought a solution that would improve customer service levels by offering increased levels of customer self-service options, providing effective customer communication, and enabling customer service representatives to respond to customer requests quickly and efficiently. The new system needed to provide increased automation and integration for the County to achieve these objectives without requiring an increase in personnel. After a comprehensive procurement process that included on-site, hands-on, software demonstrations; reference checks and customer site visits, the County selected Advanced’s CIS Infinity. The County will also implement Advanced’s customer web self-service application, Infinity.Link as well as Infinity.Mobile, Advanced’s mobile solution for utility field personnel.
Bruce Kennedy, Assistant County Administrator, Utilities commented: “Our vision is to strategically bring first class services and utility business excellence to our customers and community through the efforts of each and every employee. To accomplish this, we not only needed a solution with the functionality to support our business requirements, which include responding to customer needs, but also a partner with the experience and commitment to work closely with the County to help us achieve our vision effectively and efficiently. Our staff was engaged throughout the requirements definition and evaluation process to ensure that we chose the solution that would best meet our needs today and well into the future. We are confident that Advanced is the right partner to help us achieve our vision.”
Peter Fanous, Executive Vice President for Advanced comments: “We are excited to begin our implementation of CIS Infinity at Pasco County. The selection of CIS Infinity solidifies our presence in the state of Florida. We look forward to a strong business relationship and successful implementation of CIS Infinity at the County.”
Advanced will be on-site later this month to kick off the project.
