Advanced Utility Systems completes 16 successful go-lives over the past year

April 15, 2021 | Toronto, ON

Despite the challenges presented over the past year, Advanced Utility Systems has completed 16 successful go-lives of Infinity CIS, the industry-leading customer information and utility billing system.

Through a combination of creativity, an award-winning implementation methodology, methodical planning and a dedicated team, Advanced did not slow down even under fast-changing and ever-evolving pandemic circumstances.

Smart video conferencing cameras, that capture 360° video and audio for a near face-to-face experience, supported remote implementation activities.

The implementation methodology used, that has been proven in over 150 projects and is anchored by principles backed by academic research, was adapted when it came to training and testing to accommodate remote go-live requirements.

Our Project Managers conducted extensive research on how best to schedule and resource our projects. They also gathered important details during the Discovery process to aid in this effort. Consistent review and revision of project plans helped to identify efficiencies.

Further, our teams included knowledgeable, dedicated, industry experienced staff.

Advanced provided an excellent implementation team with consistent communication and assistance throughout the whole process; always available to answer any questions, address concerns we had, and keep us on track to achieve our goal.

— Dena Faessel, Administrator of Operations, City of Pensacola, FL

We really appreciated that Advanced did not outsource the implementation of Infinity CIS to a third party. The implementation was streamlined and straightforward because our dedicated team was comprised of experts when it came to Infinity CIS.

We also appreciated that the Advanced Team took the time to build a rapport with us as we worked in close collaboration during the project. We felt like one team working towards the same goal.

— Deborah Baumgartner, Customer Information Supervisor, City of Arvada, CO

We understand that implementation projects and upgrades for a mission critical system requires a dedicated commitment from all those involved. Successfully accomplishing what we set out to do during a pandemic by adapting our implementation strategy was monumental and key to our go-live successes. I am very proud of the Advanced teams for what they’ve been able to accomplish this past year and also want to commend the leadership and staff of our clients and partners for their collaboration and trust. Together, what we accomplished is quite an achievement and we look forward to continuing those successes in the years ahead.

— Sue Martin, Vice President, Professional Services, Advanced Utility Systems
