Five organizations have selected Advanced Utility Systems to enhance customer communications and satisfaction while lowering operating costs

Advanced Utility Systems further expands presence in North America and the Caribbean

Toronto, Canada. October 20, 2005

Advanced Utility Systems (Advanced) is pleased to announce that the City of Vernon Light & Power Department, Grenada Electricity Services Limited (GRENLEC), Moorhead Public Service, The City of Rancho Cucamonga and Shawano Municipal Utilities have selected Advanced to implement CIS Infinity®.

CIS Infinity, the customer information and billing software offered by Advanced, will enable these organizations to streamline their business processes, enhance their billing capabilities and provide their customers with more service options.

About the five organizations:

• The City of Vernon Light & Power Company provides electric, water and sewer services to their predominantly large commercial and industrial customer base in the city of Vernon, California. Vernon is the eleventh Advanced client in California.
  
• Grenada Electricity Services Limited (GRENLEC) is the sole provider of electricity for the Caribbean islands of Grenada, Carriacou and Petit Martinique and has a customer base of 36,460. GRENLEC is the third client of Advanced in the Caribbean, along with Dominica Electricity Services and Belize Electricity Limited.
  
• Moorhead Public Service provides electric and water service to its customers in the city of Moorhead, Minnesota. Advanced will be implementing functionality that will allow Moorhead to bill it’s recently established city-wide wireless internet (WI-FI) internet offering.
  
• The City of Rancho Cucamonga, California has a city-owned utility that serves the Victoria Arbors Regional Mall development as well as surrounding retail and commercial developments. Rancho Cucamonga is the tenth Advanced client in California.
  
• Shawano Municipal Utilities bills for electric usage, providing water, treating sewage and telecommunications services to its customers in Shawano, Wisconsin. Shawano is the fourth Advanced client in the state of Wisconsin along with the City of Madison, Waukesha Water Utility and the Reedsburg Utility Commission.
