Pomona, California and Toronto, Canada. July 20, 2004.
As part of ongoing improvements to its technical environment and customer service, the City of Pomona, California has selected CIS Infinity®, the customer information and utility billing solution from Advanced Utility Systems Corporation. Pomona's Utility Services Department will implement CIS Infinity to bill water, wastewater and solid waste services for approximately 29,000 active water accounts.
The ability to integrate with other existing City operating systems, and provide a foundation for future applications, were important factors in the choice of CIS Infinity.
Patricia Sorbara, President and CEO of Advanced, explains the integration of CIS Infinity in the larger enterprise: "CIS Infinity will interface with their eGovernment capabilities, and with their cash, financial, IVR, automated meter reading and GIS systems. Their long-term technology picture is very positive, and Advanced is pleased to be an integral part of it."
The interface with "eGovernment capabilities" is a secure, real-time, two-way Web Services interface between CIS Infinity and Comcate's eFeedback Manager. Customer requests from the Internet move from eFeedback Manager to CIS Infinity in real-time, where City staff can act on them. CIS Infinity then delivers information about the completed task back to eFeedback Manager.
