Independence, MO and Toronto, ON. March 24, 2016
Advanced Utility Systems, a division of N. Harris Computer Corporation (Advanced) is pleased to announce that the City of Independence, MO (the City) has selected CIS Infinity and Infinity.Link (Customer Self-Service) – the premier, flagship solutions offered by Advanced.
The City, looking for opportunities to modernize as well as maximize efficiency, selected CIS Infinity as its new customer information and billing solution (CIS) along with Infinity.Link. Infinity.Teleconnect for interactive voice response (IVR) functionality and Infinity.BI for business intelligence and analytics were also selected.
Since the City’s existing CIS was written in outdated technology, there was concern about the ability to support the system in the future as well as its ability to meet future business process requirements. With CIS Infinity, which is 100% C#.NET, built using the latest Microsoft development tools, and includes proven functionality, the City is looking forward to taking advantage of a modern and reliable CIS system.
Additionally, Infinity.Link and Infinity.Teleconnect will enhance the customer service experience by offering the City’s customers new and more convenient ways to interact with the utility as well as pay their bills and lookup account information. Infinity.BI will provide critical data to City management for decision-making.
Mark Baumann, Director of Technical Services for the City notes, “By selecting these Advanced solutions we are investing in our customers and staff by ensuring we provide the tools necessary to facilitate the most streamlined and effective customer service possible.”
Peter Fanous, Executive Vice President for Advanced comments: “Advanced provides a broad suite of solutions that excel at supporting existing business processes as well as being flexible enough to adapt to changing business requirements for modern, progressive utilities. Our easy-to-use solutions, coupled with state-of-the-art technology, makes us a great choice for the City.”
“The City’s implementation is now well underway and represents the beginning of a successful collaboration that Advanced is committed to over the long term as a dedicated business partner.”
The City of Independence – the 4th largest city in the state of Missouri - provides electric, water and sewer services to a customer base of approximately 65,000 commercial, residential, and industrial accounts.
