St. Cloud, FL and Toronto, ON. January 28, 2014
City of St. Cloud, Florida (St. Cloud) has completed a successful implementation of its new customer information and billing solution, CIS Infinity by Advanced Utility Systems, a division of N. Harris Computer Corporation (Advanced). St. Cloud went “live” with CIS Infinity at the end of last November, delivering service to 20,000 water, sewer, reclaimed water, solid waste and stormwater customers.
“Advanced staff really supported us before and during Go-Live to meet our firm deadline,” says Veronica Miller, Public Services Administrator. “They also had an excellent group of people complete our conversion that was required to be completed in an expedited time frame.”
Peter Fanous, Executive Vice President for Advanced notes: “We are very deliberate when it comes to assigning staff to projects. We put the right number of team members together who have the right combination of expertise and experience for the implementation. This goes a long way in protecting our clients’ timelines and reinforces the fact that Advanced is a dedicated partner to its clients.”
One of the main features of CIS Infinity that St. Cloud will take advantage of is its advanced reporting capabilities. St. Cloud’s legacy system was limited and cumbersome for reporting. Now, any user can build unique reports quickly to identify and resolve areas of concern such as revenue loss.
“St. Cloud also implemented Infinity.Link the Advanced online bill payment and self-service solution as well as Infinity.CreditCheck the integration of CIS Infinity with ONLINE Information Services, Inc.’s premier bad-debt elimination tool, the ONLINE Utility Exchange.
City of St. Cloud was incorporated on January 3, 1911, and St. Cloud’s boundaries have expanded dramatically since then. The size of the city is now controlled by voluntary annexation based on the supply of sewer and water services to the expanding urban area. Growth has been demand-based, and City services have been extended to meet the needs of new residents as well as providing economies of scale for the operation of City utilities and services.
