Onondaga County Water Authority to Implement CIS Infinity and Infinity.Link

Syracuse, NY and Toronto, ON. September 18, 2012

Advanced Utility Systems, a division of N. Harris Computer Corporation ("Advanced”) is pleased to announce that Onondaga County Water Authority (“OCWA”) of Syracuse has selected Advanced’s flagship customer information and utility billing solution, CIS Infinity, to support its utility customer service function.

OCWA is a Public Benefit Corporation created by the New York State Legislature. Its primary purpose is to supply water to the residents and businesses in the Central New York Region for the improvement of their health, welfare and prosperity, in a manner protective of the resource and environment. OCWA provides water to approximately 100,000 customers across its service area.

As part of a decision to replace their legacy customer information system (CIS) software, OCWA sought a solution that would support their business requirements, without modification. After conducting a comprehensive review of proposals from qualified vendors, reference checks and on-site demonstrations, OCWA selected Advanced Utility Systems’ customer information and utility billing solution, CIS Infinity. OCWA will also implement Infinity.Link, Advanced’s customer web self-service application for on-line bill payment, account management and online service requests.

Barry Blanchard, Information Technology Manager for OCWA commented: “Our users are very excited to move forward with the implementation of CIS Infinity. Not only does it provide the upgrade in functionality that we require, the user interface will also allow users to quickly access the information they need. The ease with which users can navigate the system will allow more employees to access information directly, without requiring extensive training. We anticipate increased operational efficiencies as a result.”

Mr. Blanchard goes on to say, “We were looking for a Customer Information System that provides an intuitive interface, with progressive functionality, and is built on future-proof technology. Additionally, it had to be from a company that we felt comfortable working with as a long term partner. Advanced has shown us a solution that exceeds all of these expectations. Our Employees and Water Rate payers will benefit from our diligent search.”

Peter Fanous, Executive Vice President for Advanced comments: “We are excited to begin our implementation of CIS Infinity at OCWA. We look forward to working closely with OCWA staff throughout the implementation and to continue to serve their needs well into the future.”

Advanced will be on-site later this month to kick off the project.
