Joliette, QC and Toronto, ON. March 27, 2012
Advanced Utility Systems, a division of N. Harris Computer Corporation ("Advanced”) is pleased to announce that the City of Joliette, Quebec (“the City”) will implement CIS Infinity and Infinity.Link to replace Hydro-Joliette’s legacy integrated electric billing solution.
The City of Joliette is located in southwest Quebec, Canada, and serves a population of approximately 17,000 residents. Hydro-Joliette consists of two divisions, one of which is Customer Service. This division is responsible for meter reading, billing, collections and customer service.
In November 2011, the City issued a request for proposals in order to identify vendors who could provide a solution that would meet their comprehensive electric utility billing business requirements. The City also needed a vendor that had extensive implementation experience, including experience implementing their proposed solution at other Quebec electric utilities.
After a thorough evaluation, the City selected Advanced Utility Systems’ CIS Infinity and Infinity.Link to help the City deliver exceptional customer service to its residents. Andrée La Salle, IT Director for the City commented: "CIS Infinity is a solution that will meet our end-to-end customer service needs now and well into the future. Advanced has demonstrated a commitment to meeting the needs of Quebec utilities like Hydro-Joliette. With Infinity.Link, residents will now be able to make account inquiries and pay their utility bills online. This will provide our customers with greater convenience. We look forward to a long term partnership with Advanced.”
Peter Fanous, Executive Vice President for Advanced comments: “Joliette is a great addition to our growing Quebec utility customer base. We look forward to working with the City’s team to ensure a successful implementation of CIS Infinity. We continue to invest in our CIS Infinity suite of products to ensure we meet the unique requirements of utilities in Quebec.”
Advanced kicked off the project in February.
